When the eclipse started, panic ensued. People ran through the streets trying to get to their homes as quickly as possible. But not everyone had a home to run to. The travelers, the vagabonds, the wanderers, the visitors, the homeless..... For them a church somewhere in the city had opened its doors and offered sanctuary during such crisis.
Noah was the one that had opened the doors of the church that he had been serving at for the past week or so. Trying to give a comforting smile or word for those that looked his way. While those people crowded in the churches main space, and other priests handed out candles and prayers, Noah had gone to one of the more private smaller rooms in the back. Noah was only dressed in simple monks garb. As he entered the room he briefly stoped infront of a small mirror on the wall. When Noah looked in the mirror, his reflection wasnt his own, it was Lucian looking back at him. Noah's gaze averted, as he mumbled, "...Demon." Then he proceeded to kneel infront of a statue of Rea, who was the center of this religion that this church stood for. Who viewed as Rea as the only true empress, as a goddess, and as the origin point of all existence. Light and Birth personified.
Noah started to pray as he kneeled before the statue. "As always Rea, I ask for forgiveness for my very nature...." Noah glanced briefly back towards the mirror. "But on this day I also ask what I am meant to do. I wish to help these people during this crisis, but can anything I offer really be enough? Relieve me of doubt, lead me to wisdom. Let me be of some use to these people, Let me be able to aide them in at least some small way." Another priest had walked in while Noah had been praying, and he now put his hand on Noah's shoulder. "Open your eyes" the priest said. When Noah opened his eyes, he saw that a sunbeam was shining down infront of Noah. And in that very light, a letter came into being, which landed in Noah's hands. "What is this?" Noah asked with a gasp, while he read over the letter.
"It is a miracle. More importantly it is a sign from Rea herself. You must follow it, Noah" the priest said. "But is it really for me, look at how its addressed?" Noah asked. "There is no doubt in my mind it is meant for you and you alone" the priest replied. "But what about this church, what about the people here who are in need of our help?" Noah asked. "You may have only been with us a short time, but we are thankful for it. You are always welcome here, and should Rea wish it that you come back here, we would gladly have you here again. But right now, this...." the priest pointed to the letter, "...is what Rea wishes for you. To deny Rea's wishes is to deny Rea herself. Do you deny Rea, Noah?" the priest asked. "No" Noah said adamently as he stood up. "Then you know what you must do" the priest said.
Shortly after Noah was running down the city streets, making his way through the crowds of people running in the opposite direction, as Noah made his way towards this cities port. Noah came upon an empty street, a block or so before the port. "Almost there. I hope I'm not too late" Noah thought aloud. "Too bad you'll never make it" a voice replied. Noah stopped in the middle of the street. When he looked in the direction of the voice, he saw a man standing on the ledge of a rooftop. A man with geeled back platnium blonde hair, sunglasses, and a leather overcoat. "Who are you?" Noah asked. The man leapt off the rooftop and landed in the middle of the street, halfway between Noah and the corner. "You can call me Wesker, if you like. I am a Captain within the government, and I have come to capture you" Wesker said.
"Dont you mean arrest?" Noah asked. "That depends on your perspective. Now which one of my prey are you. Obviously you arent Omega or Ryu" Wesker said. There was a hurt look in Noah's eyes at the mention of those names. "My name is Noah, and I see what this is about. You've come to punish me for the sins of those....demons. Though perhaps I am also guilty for failing to stop them. Yes I believed in what the government was doing at that psychiatric facility, and I tried to prevent the escape, and as it happened i tried to detour the escape. They outnumber me so I wasnt successful back then, but now I still believe in the government." Noah tried to explain. Wesker was taken aback. "Is this...are you actually surrendering, handing yourself in willingly?" Wesker asked. "Yes" Noah replied.
Then Noah took out the letter. "However. Rea has a plan for me, and I must follow it. I must see this through to whatever end Rea has destined for me. Should I make it through this alive, I will come back here to you afterwards and hand myself over willingly" Noah said. Wesker frowned. "I dont work on your time table. I'm taking you in Now, whether you like it or not" Wesker replied. Noah put the letter back inside his pocket. "Rea, help me to overcome this obsticle" Noah prayed aloud as he placed his hand over his heart. "Dont bother attempt to resist. Your telekinetics arent worth a damn against a power like mine" Wesker said as he drew forth a lightsaber-esc blade of negative-chi from his right hand. Then he charged at Noah.
"Unfortunatly you'll find that the way i wield my telekinesis, is quite unlike any of those......demons" Noah said. With outstretched arms and open palms, Noah started to focus. Sending telekinetic waves through the ground. "Doubtful. You see telekinesis once, then you've seen it a thousand times. The limited ways it can be wielded tends to get predictable to the seasoned pro" Wesker replied. As Wesker got closer, Noah closed his eyes. He felt out with his mind until he felt the molecules that composed and made up the ground, via his telekinesis. He started to bounce nearly microscopic telekinetic waves off of the molecules, and between the molecules, and bounce the telekinetic waves off of each other. Noah would do this faster and faster, until the molecules as well as the telekinetic waves themselves started to vibrate. A telekinetic reverbe, spreading throughout the entire street. When the ground started to vibrate, Wesker stopped his charge, having nearly lost his footing. "What the....?" Wesker said. Then Noah opened his eyes, and very abruptly the intensity of the telekinetic reverbe dramatically increased. The entire street vibrated violently. Wesker fell right on his ass. And the unceasing vibration made was making it difficult for Wesker to get back up. Noah then ran past Wesker and down the street. How had Noah avoided being affected himself? Just as opposite waves on the surface of the water will cancel each other out, Noah had caused the air around him to vibrate in the opposite manner as the ground, canceling out the affect where Noah had stood.
"Finally" Noah said as he arrived at the port and spotted the ship, which he made his way towards calmly. He was calm instead of suspicious because he truly believed that this was what Rea had intended.
"Welcome one and all to the ship of the future. Step on and you will see what you desire. You will find what is missing and you will find answers that are eluding you!"Was this odd fellow, some sort of herald of Rea, or perhaps Rea herself in disguise. One could never be to sure of these things, thought to himself. "Thank you kindly, ship-captain, i feel quite welcome" Noah replied. Then he boarded the vessel.
Once onboard the vessel, Noah took out the letter and reread it to himself.
"To One who is Legion,
Nineteen Moons, Nineteen Lies
A Ship At Port For The Journey Of Your Lives
To Far Away Seas Where All Truth Hides
Bewares The Isle Of Unending Ides."
